I started with the Makeup Forever HD Foundation, and used the MAC Prolongwear concealer under her eyes. I then set the foundation and concealer with the Makeup Forever HD Powder. I used a peach blush on her cheeks.
On her eyes, I used neutral brown tones around her eyes, dark brown eyeliner, and applied small false eyelashes. I slightly filled her eyebrows in with Lingering pencil by MAC.
On her lips I used MAC Spice lipliner, and blended it with Nymphette lipgloss.

To achieve these soft curls, I sectioned the hair off and sprayed it with Sebastian’s Shine Define hairspray. Then I wrapped the hair around a 1 inch iron. In order for the curls to set and stay longer, I pinned them up until they cooled off. After you let the curls down , gently comb them out with a pick

Colorful Eyes- Now is NOT the time to be scared of color!! Try a bright wash of color on your eyelids, some winged eyeliner, and lots of mascara. This season, you can also add a bright, bold lip with those eyes!

Faded Smokey Eyes- This seasons Smokey eye is tamed and faded. Try using darker colors (avoiding black) and smudge the shadow for a more faded look. Leave the mascara and eyeliner alone to help achieve this look! Blending is key to get the faded smokey eye.

Natural, Dewey Makeup- This look will never go out of style! Perfect your complexion with a light foundation, spot concealer where needed, and add bronzer for a sunkissed glow.

Bold Lips- Anything from red, hot pink to orange and coral red will attract maximum attention. Try a bold lip with a wash of bright color on the eyes, or you can just go for big, full black lashes. To prevent bleeding lipstick, prime your lips with a bit of foundation, lip-colored lip liner or complimentary shades to your lipstick.

THE COLOR PURPLE-

Dark purple lipstick got a luxe makeover at Peter Som’s show. I love how the rich, velvety color looks against Som’s shiny fabrics; the spiky black mascara is also a nice touch.

Nails- Can’t go wrong with a light shade like lilac or a deep plum color. Revlon Dark Pleasure Limited Edition Nail Polish $7.50.

Paired with summery bronze cheeks and barely-there eye makeup with a hint of a violet tint, the ultra-bright orangey-red lipstick looks modern and unexpected—not at all too “lady.”

NATURAL BEAUTY-

Backstage at the Thakoon show, it was all about the Natural look. Dewey Skin, Neutral tones on the face. A look that never goes out of style.

TEXTURED EYESHADOW-

The makeup artists at the Diane Von Furstenberg show layered lids and undereyes with a black cream shadow, added shades of blue and green powder over the top, and gave the inner corners a little sparkle. The result is multidimensional eye makeup that looks a little different from each angle.

EARTH TONES WITH A TWIST-

Makeup artists at the Brian Reyes show paired scarlet-copper lids with a pale blue, lined undereye for an earthy yet urban effect.

-Priming- Use a makeup Primer will not only make your makeup look a lot smoother, but it will also make your foundation stay on all day. Foundation usually disappears because it goes into your pores throughout the day. Using a good makeup Primer will prevent this. Priming also prevents your foundations from going into your fine lines, which will give you a more youthful look. I recommend: Makeup Forever HD Primer $32.00

-Placing your product where you want it- One of the most common mistakes I see in makeup application, is using brushes to “Brush” your makeup on. What you really end up doing is wiping your makeup off. Instead, I recommend “placing” the product where you want it to stay. I always “pat” on the makeup. By doing so, the makeup stays where you put it.

-Setting your foundation- Use a translucent loose powder to set your foundation. Setting your foundation will solidify the foundation, and help it stay on longer. If your skin is more on the dry side, use a powder brush, and use a sponge or a puff if you are more normal/oily. I recommend: Makeup Forever HD Powder $15.00 or Laura Mercier Translucent Powder

Goddess Hair- Yes! Krimped hair is back in! You can also use a curling iron to achieve very wavy hair. Try styling your hair first and then using Big Sexy Hair Hairspray to set it. That way your hair doesn’t look hard.

Purple Lips- You can go for extreme purple lips, or something more natural like the picture below. For a very bold Purple lip, try MAC lipstick in Up the Amp. Or for a more natural purple (and much cheaper price) try NYX Lipstick in Iced Lavender.

Bold Eyeliner- DO NOT be afraid of color! Go for it! My favorites are the Makeup Forever Aqua eyes eyeliners. They come in many bold colors! And they stay on VERY well! Even through swimming!!

#3 Charlize Theron- In my eyes, Charlize can never do wrong!! She is gorgeous and so very classy. I loved her flawless and natural makeup look, with bold lips. What I love most about his look, is that I feel like it is a pretty simple look for you to be able to do at home.

Start off with a foundation and set it with powder, then follow with a rosy/reddish blush. Use a soft gold eyeshadow all over your eyelid and a little under your eyes. Then curl your eyelashes and apply 2 coats of black mascara to your top lashes. Complete your look with a pink red lipstick. Try using: MAC Russian Red Lipstick, and Covergirl Lash Blast Mascara

#2 Jennifer Lopez- Jennifer always looks amazing! I love that she has a natural look, yet made her eyes pop. Very elegant.

Start off with a natural foundation. Avoid powder to get that glowy JLo look. Use a brow powder or eyeshadow to define your eyebrows without them looking too painted on. Use a neutral color all over your eyes, and then follow with a grey/purple eyeshadow in your crease and under your eyes. Make sure to blend! #1 Queen Latifah- Ooooooh Yes!! My favorite makeup look of the night. Her foundation is smooth and flawless, and this is the perfect example of how to give yourself smokey eyes, without looking like a clown!! lol

Start by doing your eyes first. Smudge black eyeliner on your eyelid and under your eye, then blend a deep purple eyeshadow over it to soften it up. Also use the black eyeliner in your waterline for more definition. Follow with Black Mascara. Use a liquid foundation to give yourself a natural, flawless glow. Use a soft pink blush on the apples of your cheeks. Finish the look by lining your lips with a neutral pink lipliner, and follow with a pink/purple lipstick. To achieve Rihanna’s look, apply concealer to your eyelids and then apply a silvery green eyeshadow by dabbing it onto your eyelids and under your eyes. Apply a neutral eyeshadow on your browbone, and blend a neutral brown eyeshadow into your crease. If you are looking for the perfect Waterproof pencil Eyeliner that will not smudge and give you raccoon eyes, well this is it!! A fellow makeup artist reccommended this product to me and I figured I would give it a try. After all, it was less than $10!!! It is a very soft pencil that will stay where you put it!
