This was a crazy day, all the way near Palm Springs. Very cool desert location, and VERY cold. I must mention that I got lost on the way and it ended up taking me 5 hours to get there, instead of 2. YIKES! Goes to show that its not always glitz and glamour

Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeliner Pencils-Waterproof Vivid Color

For this makeup look, I used the Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeliner Pencil in Grafitti. It is a Vibrant Green color. I used it in her waterline so that I could give her eyes some definition, without closing up her eyes.It also gives the eyes a POP of color Brown or Black eyeliners can sometimes be too harsh.

This was one of the Newest Ludens Cough Drops Ads featured in the NY Times. New Luden’s ads will stray from the “antiseptic” feel of typical lozenge ads to evoke “an appetite appeal.”

I had the pleasure of meeting Don Wheldon a couple of months ago after his Indy 500 Win. I did his makeup and hair for a photoshoot for Justin Timberlake’s clothing line “William Rast”
He was an extremely humble, and very nice guy. I could tell he wasn’t used to getting his hair and makeup done, but he didnt complain, and was extremely grateful.
Dan died yesterday in a horrific 15 car Indycar crash. My prayers go out to his family and loved ones.

It is extremely important for you to always use a foundation Primer under your foundation. Foundation will look smoother, and also last longer on your face. It will also help with creasing and to smoothen any fine lines. Simply use a little bit over your moisturizer, wait a minute, and apply your foundation. Here are my Favorite Primers. Checkout the one I chose for your skin type:

Oily Skin- Skinn Orchid Gel Mattefying Primer

This is great for Oily Skin or for someone who loves for their skin to be more matte. Even though its purple, it goes on clear!

Combination Skin- Smashbox Photo Finish Primer

I love the silky feel of this primer! It is great for combination skin types because it reduces shine and helps foundation look amazing

Dry/Aging/Sensitive- Clarins Instant Smooth Perfecting Touch

This product is great for dry skin types! Its creamy formula moisturizes the skin, and will even keep your makeup out of your fine lines and pores. Keeps your makeup in place as well!

Tips on How to Achieve some of my Favorite Grammy Makeup Looks

From Fuchsia lips, to dark defined Eyebrows, and Bold eyes, the Grammys was a night for celebrities to express themselves!! As always, there was many good, and many bad. I will let you be the judge of that. Here are my Favorite Makeup Looks, and some tips on how to achieve them!!

To achieve Rihanna’s look, apply concealer to your eyelids and then apply a silvery green eyeshadow by dabbing it onto your eyelids and under your eyes. Apply a neutral eyeshadow on your browbone, and blend a neutral brown eyeshadow into your crease. Apply eyeliner on the inner rim of your eyes, and finish the look off with nice sparse false eyelashes.

Try: Nars eyeshadow in Night Rider, #7 Mac eyelashes, and Daniel Chinchilla Beauty Perfecting Mineral Fluid in N7 Beverly

To achieve Heidi Klum’s look, apply a neutral shimmery eyeshadow on your eyelids, and then an orangey bronze color under your eyes and into your crease. Add a dark brown color to the corners of your eyes, and then use a dark brown eyeliner to the top and bottom of your eyes. Follow with black Mascara.

Try: Mac Eyeshadows in Amber Lights and Embark, and Daniel Chinchilla Beauty Perfecting Mineral Fluid in N3 Cindy.

To achieve Lady Gaga’s look, apply concealer to your eyelids, and follow with a green eyeshadow. Use a neutral peach eyeshadow in your crease to blend the green. Use a black gel eyeliner on top and bottom, and then follow with black mascara. Use a peachy-pink blush and a Fuschia Pink lipstick.
